We want you to enjoy the satisfaction of backyard harvesting.
It is difficult to put into words the satisfaction you get from watching a seed sprout, the magic of plants growing, harvesting fresh produce and then serving them to your friends and family. You also know exactly what was used (or not used!) on your plants with regards to fertilizers and sprays. Rooted Fork will help you design your space, plan your organic garden, and coach you from planting all the way to your plate. We practice intensive and succession planting techniques to maximize harvest out of small spaces for the longest time possible customized to your growing zone, frost dates and microclimates.
Seed to plate
For backyard gardeners, following spacing directions on seed packets and plant tags wastes valuable space. Learning modern planting techniques will surprise you on what you can harvest out of small spaces. Raised beds provide so many benefits including less weeding, longer growing season, and better water drainage. Trellis and arches bring beauty and vertical growing space. Focusing on soil health is key. Rooted Fork can help minimize this overwhelming learning curve.
